Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale govern every purchase made on gentlemanwinder.com. They work alongside our Terms of Service, our Refund Policy and our Shipping Policy. By placing an order, you confirm you have read and accepted them.
1. Who you are buying from
Gentleman's Winder is the trading name of CHAIBI Yanis, sole trader (micro-entreprise), registered at 26 rue du Moulin, 67205 Oberhausbergen, France. SIRET 88517141300028 — Intra-community VAT FR56885171413. All correspondence: contact@gentlemanwinder.com.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to the sale of watch winders and related accessories from Gentleman's Winder to UK-based consumers — buyers who are natural persons acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. Trade or wholesale enquiries must be addressed to us in writing before any order is placed.
3. Prices & payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay — no hidden fees, no surprise customs charges. Shipping is included unless otherwise stated on the product page.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay. Every transaction is processed over encrypted HTTPS by PCI-DSS certified providers (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal). We never see, store or handle your full card details.
4. Order acceptance
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. The sales contract is formed the moment we send the order confirmation email containing your unique order number. We reserve the right to refuse any order in cases of:
- suspected fraud or payment verification failure;
- stock unavailability;
- a manifest pricing or description error on our side;
- delivery to a country we do not currently serve.
If an order is refused after payment, we refund the full amount to the original payment method within 5 working days.
5. Delivery
Every Gentleman's Winder is delivered to any mainland UK address within 4 to 8 working days, tracked and insured, at no extra cost. The Highlands, Channel Islands and Isle of Man may require 1 to 2 additional working days. The full logistics are set out in our Shipping Policy.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier after 15 working days, we dispatch a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice, no questions asked.
6. Right to cancel (14 days)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel their order within 14 days of receipt, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, email contact@gentlemanwinder.com with your order number. We will send you a prepaid return label within 24 working hours. The item must be returned unused and in its original packaging. The refund is then issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the returned item.
7. 30-Day Peace of Mind Guarantee
Beyond your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary 30-Day Peace of Mind Guarantee: a full refund for any reason within 30 days of delivery. Full conditions in our Refund Policy. This guarantee extends your rights — it never replaces or reduces them.
8. Warranty
Every Gentleman's Winder is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, from the date of delivery. The warranty covers mechanical and electronic faults under normal domestic use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, liquid ingress, accidental drops, unauthorised repairs, or normal cosmetic wear. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full and are in addition to this commercial warranty.
9. Product use
Our winders are intended for domestic use, in a dry indoor environment, powered by mains electricity (UK plug, 230 V / 50 Hz) or the included USB adapter. Please read the instruction card shipped with your winder before first use. We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, non-domestic use, or use outside manufacturer specifications.
10. Failed or suspicious payments
If a payment fails, the order is placed on hold and no contract is formed. We may ask for additional verification (e.g. 3-D Secure, photo ID) in cases flagged by our fraud-prevention systems — this protects both you and us. Suspicious transactions are refused and any captured amount is refunded within 5 working days.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Beyond those rights, our total liability for any single order is capped at the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of profit, loss of opportunity).
12. Events outside our control (force majeure)
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — including but not limited to carrier strikes, severe weather, fire, flood, power or internet outages, governmental actions, or acts of war. If such an event significantly affects your order, we will contact you to agree on a new delivery schedule or, if you prefer, a full refund.
13. Governing law & dispute resolution
For UK consumers, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in your local UK court. Before any legal action, please contact us at contact@gentlemanwinder.com — most issues are resolved within 24 working hours. You can also contact Citizens Advice or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
