No — provided it's set correctly. Every Gentleman Winder is calibrated to rotate within the safe TPD (turns per day) range recommended by watch manufacturers. Over-winding is not possible with an automatic movement, as the mainspring disengages once fully tensioned.
Gentleman Winder works with all automatic (self-winding) movements, regardless of brand or size. It is not compatible with quartz or manual-wind watches. If you're unsure whether your watch qualifies, feel free to contact us — we're happy to advise.
